We work to meet the needs of the people and bring hope to our communities through food assistance and medical programs, adult and teen programs, crime prevention programs, job skills training, life skills counseling, education programs, housing and more.

Mission
Greater Community of Hope, Inc. is a  collaborative of  businesses, residents, social service and faith-based organizations working together to create caring communities where people of all ages can live in dignity in Southeast Michigan. Our work improves the quality of life for the residents of Southeast Michigan by meeting their needs and the needs of the surrounding neighborhoods, through creative collaboration and innovative programming.

Purpose
The principal purposes of the corporation are:  (1) education (access, excellence and quality); (2) economic and housing development (job training and creation); (3) crime (reduction, prevention and rehabilitation); (4) family (developing healthy men, women and children); (5) financial literacy (economic empowerment).

Brief History

Founded in 2011, GREATER COMMUNITY OF HOPE is an organization designed to help and bring hope to individuals and families in our communities.

2011

GCOH Organized its first community day of hope and gave groceries to over 200 families.

2012

GCOH 2nd Annual community of hope helped over 500 individuals and families in the community.

2013

GCOH continues its shoebox drive for our adopted women’s shelter

2014

GCOH will continue to thrive and develop our existing programs
